John Harry Malone, Jr., 84, of Damascus, Maryland, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, on Thursday April 28, 2016. He was the beloved husband of Ann Skinner Malone for 58 years.

Born in Washington D.C, he was a son of the late John Sr., and Ethyln Malone.

John served in the U.S. Airforce during the Korean War.  He was an active member of Neelsville Presbyterian Church, and for over 30 years he loved singing on the church choir. John Worked for National Geographics for 38 years. He also enjoyed fishing at Deep Creek Lake.

Surviving besides his loving and faithful wife Ann are children, Eileen Gunther and husband Stan of Brunswick; George Malone and wife Sara of Garland, Texas; Bill Malone and wife Ginger of Rocky Ridge; and Tom Malone and wife Kim of Mount Airy.  John was also blessed with ten grandchildren:  Robbie; Nick and wife Dianna; Zack and wife Lauren; and Ali Gunther; Rebecca Crowther and husband Jamie, Allison, Billy, Brittany, Johnny and Charlie Malone; and Braxton his first great grandchild.

Friends may call 3-5 & 7-9 p.m. Monday, May 2, at Molesworth-Williams P.A., Funeral Home, 26401 Ridge Road, Damascus, Md. 20872. 

Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday May 3 at Neelsville Presbyterian Church, 20701 Frederick Road, Germantown, Md. 20876. A private interment for family members will be held in Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Frederick, Md. 

In lieu of flowers please make memorial contributions to Neelsville Presbyterian Church Choir, or Montgomery County Hospice, 1355 Piccard Street, Suite 100, Rockville, Md. 20850.
