I am so sorry to hear of Tom's passing. We were members of the Damascus FFA, and ran around together after school. I talked him into joining the Marine Corps. By the Betty, Tom was told not to let you read the letters I sent him from Viet Nam. Again I'm so sorry for your lose, I will miss him myself. Always thought I'd go before him.

Dear Betty, I am so sorry about Tom's death. As my mother Ethel said to me when my Joy died, a child should not go before a parent. Tom was kind to Joy in her last turbulent years.
