William H. Peacock Obituary

William Hammond Peacock, 90, of Derwood, Maryland passed away on Friday June 5th 2020.


William grew up as Billy and was known as Bill to his friends and family.


He was born on December 28th 1929 in Stevenson, Alabama, to William Jacob Peacock and Mary Tee Peacock. He was the oldest of three children, a sister, Margie Moss and brother, John Peacock who both preceded him in death. 


After high school he joined the Navy serving during the Korean War aboard the USS Jason as a Yeoman 2nd class. 


After the Navy he attended collage at David Lipscomb in Nashville Tn. where he graduated and moved to Georgia to begin his career as an Elementary School Teacher. While in Ga. he met his future wife Lucile Ann Reese who preceded him in death.


They moved to Maryland to continue teaching at Wheaton Woods Elementary School only to take a year off to attend Michigan State University to obtain his Masters 


Bill retired in the 80's and worked part time as a real-estate agent and enjoyed his time off playing golf 


He is survived by three children: William Peacock and wife Jennifer, Jean Jimenez and her husband Richard, and David and his wife Margaret. Also surviving are 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren

Visitations will not be held. Any family gatherings will to be limited to 10 people.  Graveside Services are limited to 10 people only, inclusive of clergy.


We will not be holding any Public Services at the Funeral Home at this time.


All expressions of sympathy by why of Flowers, Letters and Cards must be sent directly to the family and not the Funeral Home.


(WE WILL NOT FORWARD ANY CARDS, LETTERS OR FLOWERS TO FAMILIES) We do not and will not give out family addresses so please don't ask.
