It is with profound heartache we must announce the passing of Scott Matthew Johnson on July 22nd, 2025. Born on March 3rd, 1981, Scott is survived by his parents Kathleen and James Johnson Jr., sister Brandy Mehta, daughter Abigail Grace, niece Brianna Nicole and fiancée Keera Scruggs.

Scott grew up on his family’s farm in Gaithersburg, MD, being the sixth generation of his family to do so. Scott found joy in photography and cooking and had a passion for gardening, farming and creating. Scott’s ability to build or create something out of nothing made partnering with his father in the family home remodeling business an easy decision. Scott and his father worked side by side for 24 years. Scott was an active member of his church and devoted father to his daughter Abby, his greatest creation.

Services will be private to family, but a Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
