Sandra A. Logan Obituary

Sandra A. Logan Obituary

With profound sadness and eternal gratitude, we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved mother Sandra Ann Logan, who departed this earthly life on January 9, 2025, to join our heavenly Father above. After facing the challenges of Alzheimer's disease with remarkable grace and dignity over the last 10 years, she has gone home to be with the Lord.

Known as Sandy, she was born on May 27, 1942, in Mosscreek, PA to William and Sylvia Shannon. Throughout her life, she was known for her remarkable thoughtfulness, understanding, kindness and poise – qualities that touched everyone she knew. Sandy met and married her soulmate, Raymond Douglas Logan, and through their blessed union of 52 years, they built a home filled with family traditions, laughter and Christian values.

A devoted and hardworking woman, she found great joy in the simple pleasures of family life – finding the perfect gifts for her loved ones, sparing no expense to bring joy to others. She took great pleasure in creating lasting memories with her three adoring children: Sherri, Christopher and William (predeceased). Sandy’s sage advice was a treasured gift to all who knew her, matched only by her warmth and extraordinary ability to know exactly what others needed to hear.

Even as Alzheimer's gradually dimmed her memory, it could not diminish the light of her spirit or the love she had sown so deeply in all of our hearts. Sandy’s relentless courage and resilience throughout this journey has been an inspiration to all.

She is survived by her daughter Sherri (Frederick); son Christopher (Christine); grandchildren Nicholas, Gabriel, Sean, William and Joshua; great-grandchildren Tristan, Harper and Phoebe; and her beloved sister Linda Marie Shannon (Michael).

A celebration of her life will be held 12:00 noon on Wednesday, January 15, at Molesworth-Williams P.A. Funeral Home, 26401 Ridge Road, Damascus, MD. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until service time.   Interment to follow at All Souls Cemetery, Germantown, MD. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association in her memory.

Though our hearts are heavy with loss, we rejoice in knowing that she has been made whole again in Christ's presence, where there is no more suffering, only perfect peace and joy. Her legacy of faith and love will continue to guide and inspire us until we meet again.

"Well done, good and faithful servant... Enter into the joy of your Lord." - Matthew 25:23
