Ruth R. Albrecht

Ruth Reed Albrecht of Damascus, Maryland, passed away on September 7, 2021. She was born on August 8, 1935 at Cape May, New Jersey to John L. and Irene (Hanson) Reed. She graduated in 1953 from West Lebanon High School in New Hampshire and from nurse's training at Paradise Valley Sanitarium and Hospital in National City, California in 1957. She married Miller Marshall in 1960, and to this union three children were born, Juli, John, and Sarahann. Miller predeceased Ruth in 1981, and John predeceased her in 1989. In 1985, Ruth married Donald Albrecht, who died in 1994.

Ruth enjoyed reading, her nursing career, amateur photography, her Cairn Terriers, and her cats. She also loved visiting beaches and walking in the country.

Ruth is survived by her daughters, Juli Woodliff (Keith) and Sarahann Marshall; her sister, Elizabeth Cheney, of Maine; three grandchildren, Deanna,(Daniel) Rhiannon, and Nils Ambrose, and a great granddaughter, Gwen Ambrose. She was predeceased by her brother, Larry Reed.

Services and inurnment are planned for a later time.
