Roger Hege, 84, of Frederick passed away peacefully with his family by his side on September 22, 2022.  Born on Jan 2, 1938, in Carlisle, PA to Edward and Roselva Hege.  Roger was raised in Boyds, MD by his grandparents, Clarence and Nellie Huff.  

 Roger was a loving companion of 23 years to Joyce Paulsgrove.  Roger was a kind, caring, and gentle man.  He was in the Marine Corps from 1961 to 1965, but he was a Marine for life!  He loved the outdoors and nature. He was an expert at cooking.  He was a sports fanatic and followed all the games on TV whether it be college or professional sports.  Roger worked for Montgomery County Roads for over 20 years and then ended his working days at Faye's Restaurant in Gaithersburg.  

 Roger is survived by his companion, Joyce.  His sister, Sylvia Ramsburg (Grayson) of Boyds, his stepchildren, Shelley Freeze, of Frederick, Lloyd (Eddie) Ray (Cathy) of Emmitsburg, his step grandchildren, Warren Freeze, Darren Freeze, Dalton Ray and Sammie Ray.  Great step grandchildren, Mason and Ella.  He is also survived by many cousins who love him dearly.  

Family and Friends may gather at Molesworth Williams Funeral Home, 26401 Ridge Road, Damascus, MD 20872 on Friday, September 30, 2022 from 2 - 4 p.m. and 6 - 8 p.m.  Funeral Services will be at 11a.m. on Saturday, October 1, 2022 at the funeral home.  Interment will be at Boyds Presbyterian Church.
