Robert "Bob" Peacock formerly of Damascus, Maryland, passed away peacefully on March 14, 2026, in Panama City, Florida. He was born on March 29, 1936, in Altha, Florida. Bob lived a life defined by hard work, devotion to his family, and a deep appreciation for life's simple pleasures, especially camping and fishing.
Bob proudly served his country as an Airman First Class in the United States Air Force, MP, a reflection of his discipline and commitment. Following his military service, he built a career grounded in a strong work ethic. He worked as a crane operator at the Panama City Paper Mill and later contributed his skills to Beams Auto Parts in Maryland. He went on to operate Able Auto Parts in Mt. Airy, Maryland. About seven years ago, Bob made the move to Panama City, Florida, where he continued to enjoy life surrounded by those he loved.
Bob was known for cherishing time with his family. His warmth, kindness, and genuine love for others left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. He found great joy in the outdoors and in the company of family and friends.
He was a proud and dedicated member of the Masonic Lodge, where he lived by the principles of brotherhood and service. He was also an active member of the VFW, American Legion, and AMVETS, reflecting his deep respect for fellow veterans and his continued commitment to supporting those who served.
Bob is survived by his daughters, Vicki Churchey and her husband Robert, Connie Cooke (Doug), and Susie Peacock and her husband Phil. He is also survived by his brother David Peacock; his sisters, Martha Hassel and Marylou Taylor; and his cousins, Stoney Peacock and Robert Peacock.
Bob was blessed with a large and loving family, including his grandchildren Mandy, Brian (Valerie), Ronnie (Crystal), Jamie, Jessica(Connor), Nikki, Johnathan (Alishia), Carlton, and Elizabeth, along with numerous great-grandchildren: Kyle, Kendal, Josh, Nevaeh, Tyrah, Cory, Aaliyah, Brayden, Devon, Preston, Lyncoln, Harlow, Caiden, Savannah, Adam, Jordan, Colton, Nathan, Ethan, Parker, and Cam, and two great great grandchildren Raelyn and Wyatt.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Linda Lee Peacock; his daughter, Kathy Wike; and his parents, James and Vergie Peacock. Their memories live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
A visitation to honor and remember Bob will be held on April 9th, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 A.M. A brief service will begin at 11:00 A.M. at Molesworth Funeral Home in Damascus, Maryland and Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery in Mount Airy Maryland. Family and friends are asked to gather to pay their respects and celebrate his remarkable life.
