Robert Denmead Cole (Bob), age 85, of Westminster, MD. passed away Saturday, Nov. 6, 2021. He was the beloved husband of Shirley Moxley Cole, his wife of 38 years.
Born on September 12, 1936, in Highland, MD, to the late Stanley Mitchell Cole and Virginia Scott Cole. He was preceded in death by his sister Louise, and brothers Stanley and Jim (Virginia). He is survived by his sisters Dot (Dick) and Jeanie (Tom) and his children Robert Cole, Jr., (Katie) and Christy Price (Robert); stepchildren Steve Deadrick (Cathie), Debbie Anderson (Charles), Kathy Cantrill (Jim), Mike Deadrick (Laurie), and Scott Deadrick (Maura); and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Bob was a volunteer with the Fifth District Volunteer Fire Department in Clarksville, MD, during his youth, served as president in 1971 & 72 and was a Life Member. He was also a member of the Clarksville Lions Club for many years. Bob was a member of Montgomery United Methodist Church, Damascus, MD.
Most of Bob’s career was spent in the Fire Protection Equipment business. He loved his family and enjoyed taking trips and vacations with them. Bob enjoyed finding new, unique restaurants and spreading the word to his family and friends to give them a try.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 10, from 6 to 8 p.m., at Molesworth-Williams P.A. Funeral Home, 26401 Ridge Rd, Damascus, MD 20872.
The funeral will be held on Thursday, November 11, at 11 a.m., at Montgomery United Methodist Church, 28325 Kemptown Rd, Damascus, MD.
