Richard M. Mahone Obituary
Richard M. Mahone Sr., 86, of Damascus, Md., passed away July 24, 2024, at home. Born Nov. 10, 1937, in Brunswick, Md., to the late Maxwell and Margaret Mahone.
Proceeded in death by his beloved wife of 38 years Susan L. Mahone.
His 43-year career was spent as a defense engineer for the U.S. Navy at David Taylor Model Basin in Virginia.
He is survived by his children, Charles (Chuck) Mahone of Md., Mark Mahone of Md., Stephanie Lauer of Fl., and husband (Ray), Meghan Mahone of Fl, Richard Mahone Jr. of Md., Michelle Van Pelt of Va., (stepdaughter) and husband (Olan) and eight grandchildren. Aside from his family Richard will always be remembered for loving the time he spent on the greens with close friends and the occasional beer.
Richard will be remembered as a die-hard Washington sports fan. HTTR Pops!! WE LOVE YA.
