Patricia Zeller Ernst, 77, of Mount Airy, MD departed peacefully to her Heavenly Home on July 25, 2024, at the Dove House, formerly the Carroll County Hospice, in Westminster, MD. 

Patricia "Pat" was born on December 8, 1946, in Lebanon, PA to Dorothy Zeller.

She grew up in both Pennsylvania and Maryland with her three sisters and one brother. After nursing school, Pat married her high school sweetheart, William Ernst, and moved to Damascus, MD.  

 Pat worked for several years as a nurse at Holy Cross Hospital.  After having children, she served as a school volunteer and was later hired as a Paraeducator, working with children with special needs, at the local elementary, middle, and high schools, and volunteered as an election judge in the community. Pat dedicated her life to helping others in need.  She had a beautiful smile, infectious laugh, and was known as being a loyal friend with a caring heart and a patient nature with everyone she met.

 Pat was preceded in death by her mother Dorothy Zeller, and her husband, William Ernst. Pat is survived by her two children Barbara Goodwyn, of Enola, PA and Jason Ernst, of Mount Airy, MD, as well as six grandchildren, Taylor, Briana, Preston, Blake, Faith, and Asher, sisters – Beverly, Joanne, Deborah, and brother Fred, as well as a niece, and nephews.

 Family, friends, and others whose lives were touched by Pat may visit to pay their condolences, at Molesworth-Williams P.A. Funeral Home, 26401 Ridge Road, in Damascus, on Wednesday, July 31st, from 6pm-8pm and are also welcome to attend the funeral services 11 am. on Thursday, August 1st. at the funeral home. Interment will follow in  Mount Olivet Cemetery in Frederick, MD. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Baltimore Shock Trauma or to Bridging Life-Dove House, formerly Carroll County Hospice.
