Miriam A. Warfield Reed Obituary

Miriam A. Warfield Reed, age 93, of Woodbine, Maryland, died August 29, 2024.

Born December 16, 1930, in Howard County, Maryland, to Thurman Russell Warfield and Mabel Carr Warfield. She was the sixth of eight children. She graduated from Lisbon High School in 1948, and she graduated from Women's Hospital School of Nursing in 1951. Miriam worked for many years at Montgomery General Hospital. Most of her work hours were on the night shift in the Maternity unit. Miriam also taught Sunday School, played the organ for church services, helped with missions and church events. In addition, she volunteered at the Howard County Fair in the Home Arts area. She enjoyed cooking, canning, jelly making, quilt making, and crocheting.



She was predeceased by her husband, Dean Reed, in June 2019. Dean was the love of her life, and she enjoyed being wife, homemaker and mother.
Miriam is survived by one daughter, Linda K.; and three sons and their spouses, Gary and Beverly, Robert and Linda B., and John and Christi. Also surviving are 9 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.



A Memorial Service will be held on November 9, 2024 at Poplar Springs United Methodist Church  at 11:00 a.m.
