Lawrence “Larry” Edward Ryan, Sr.

June 29, 1947 – October 21, 2020, Age 73

Lawrence Edward Ryan, Sr., passed on October 21, 2020 after a brief illness.

Larry was born June 29, 1947 in Albany, NY, the son of the late Charles and Mary Ryan.  Lawrence was 1 of 12 siblings and is survived by 4 of his siblings; brothers Michael Ryan and Steven Ryan and sisters Eileen Cronin (Ryan), Mary Beth Conrad (Ryan); all of whom reside in upstate New York.  He also has a great number of nieces and nephews.

Larry graduated from the former, Cardinal McCloskey High School in Albany, NY and upon graduation he entered the United States Navy.  Most his Naval career was served at the US Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, MD, from where he retired as a Chief Petty Officer in May of 1988.

He was the husband of the late Sandra Jean Ryan, who preceded him in death 16 years prior.  He is survived by his 4 children, daughter Valarie A. Rojas (Ryan) and her husband Miguel, daughter Andrea M. Ferentinos (Ryan) and her husband Bill, daughter Dena M. Crawford (Ryan) and her husband Heath, and his son Lawrence E. Ryan, Jr. and his wife Michelle.  Larry aka Pops, has 10 grandchildren, Matthew, Cody, Sarah, Sophia, Helena, Kosta, Catherine, Noah, Ella and Jackson.
