Jonnie Stallings Jackson, 85, died peacefully on Feb 4, 2026, after a long illness. She is survived by her loving husband, Tom Jackson, daughter Chris (Larry Ferguson) Jackson, son James (Lisa) Jackson, son Tom (Adele) Jackson, her grandsons Devin, Riley, Willie and Tommy, sister Patricia Green (NC), sister Christine Mohn (OH) and many nieces and nephews.
Jonnie was born and raised in Louisburg, NC, daughter of Charlie and Ina Stallings. She met her husband Tom through her cousin, Gilbert, who was Tom's roommate at UNC Chapel Hill. They married, then moved to Maryland when Tom was hired by IBM in the early 60's. They moved to Damascus, MD in 1975. Jonnie especially loved her family beach vacations at Emerald Isle in North Carolina. She enjoyed antiquing, cooking, painting, miniatures, needle work, playing bridge, watching tennis tournaments and her many dogs.
Final inurnment will be a private graveside service, arranged with Molesworth-Williams Funeral Home in Damascus, MD.
