John C. Wilson, age 81, of Damascus, Maryland, passed away on May 14, 2026, after a brave battle with sepsis.
Born on October 30, 1944, in Washington, DC, John was the beloved son of the late Karl Leigh and Catherine Coogan Wilson.
John was proud to say that he held "many" jobs throughout his working career. Over the years, he worked as an accountant, a tractor-trailer driver, a chauffeur, and a school bus driver. However, he always considered his most important job to be a stay-at-home dad for his little girl.
He was the devoted husband of Theresa, with whom he recently celebrated 40 wonderful years of marriage.
John is survived by his loving wife, Theresa (Terry) (née Small); his daughter, Grace; and his beloved four-legged children Baily, Elvis, and Lucas. He was predeceased by his sister, Rosemary Leigh Wilson, and his parents.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the staff at Molesworth-Williams Funeral Home for their exceptional care during this difficult time.
Services will be private.
“When we lose someone we love we must learn not to live without them, but to live with the love they left behind.” –Unknown
