Jerry Edwin Penn, 77, of Columbia, Maryland, died Tuesday, September 13, at Kline Hospice House in Mount Airy, Maryland. He was son of the late Melvin L. and Margaret E. (Coleman) Penn. Brother to Blair L. Penn, C. Patricia (Penn) Powell and Donald A. Penn.
Jerry served in the Army as a Military Policeman, where he rose to the rank of Sergeant. During his service he spent 6 months overseas in the 60's and was awarded two medals for his Honorable and Exemplary service. Later he returned to his civilian job in the security sector where he finished his career of 45 years with Tyco-ADT. Jerry will be deeply missed by Family and Friends.
Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Friday, September 23, at Molesworth-Williams Funeral Home, 26401 Ridge Road, Damascus, Maryland 20872;
From 10:30 a.m. Saturday, September 24 until funeral services begin at 11:00 a.m., at the funeral home. Interment will follow with military honors in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Frederick, Maryland 21701.
