Obituary for James “Jimmy” Carroll, III
James Hamilton Darnell Carroll III, affectionately known as "Jimmy," peacefully departed this earthly life on March 26, 2025, at Kline House Hospice in Frederick, MD. He was born in Frederick, MD, to the late Nellie Zeigler and James Carroll, Jr. Jimmy, a beloved father, grandfather, uncle, brother, cousin and friend, passed away at the age of 69 after a life filled with laughter, love, and unforgettable memories.
Jimmy graduated from Montgomery Blair High School in Silver Spring, MD.
A dedicated professional, he spent his career as a Superintendent for Craftmark Homes, taking pride in building beautiful homes, many of which were million-dollar residences with state-of-the-art features, including elevators. After years of hard work and dedication, he retired, leaving behind a legacy of craftsmanship and excellence in his field.
Outside of work, Jimmy's life was filled with passions that brought joy to those around him. He was an avid fan of basketball and enjoyed watching classic Western shows and movies. He had a deep love for his 98 Corvette and relished attending Corvette shows in Ocean City, MD. Music also played a special role in his life, particularly R&B, and his singing voice was nothing short of beautiful.
More than anything, Jimmy was known for his infectious personality. He could light up any room with a smile, a joke, or a song. His fun-loving nature and caring heart left a lasting impact on everyone he encountered Jimmy is survived by his children: Brittany Carroll, Amber Carroll, Antroinette Disney, Jack Disney, Deadre Carroll, Rachel Carroll, and Cerifin Beutler; 10 grandchildren: Shawniece, Kyra, Jordan, Adrian "AJ," Brian "B," Leilani, Kaiden, Ja'Mari, Kameron, and Zakhari; his siblings: Janise Hill and Anthony Zeigler; his great-aunt, Corinthia Brown; his great-uncle, Norman
Levoynne Carroll; aunts: Evelyn Watson, Joyce Zeigler, Frances Zeigler, Phyllis Carroll; uncles: John "Mike" Zeigler, Frank Hyson; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will forever cherish his memory.
A true source of joy and laughter, Jimmy had the remarkable ability to make everyone feel special. He will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on through the love and memories he leaves behind.
The family will receive friends on Saturday April 19, 2025, at Molesworth-Williams Funeral Home 26401 Ridge Rd, Damascus, MD 20872 from 11:00 until 12:00 noon where a Celebration of Life Service will Start at 12:00 noon. Inurnment will be private.
