James {Jimbo} Maurice Magruder Sr. passed away peacefully on

January 29th 2025. He is preceded In death by his father Donald

and his mother Carolyn Magruder. James grew up in Gaithersburg MD.

He graduated from Gaithersburg High School. Was a member of Gaithersburg

Washington Grove Volunteer Fire Department for 50+ years. He was a

 dedicated  and devoted citizen of Montgomery County and the city of Gaithersburg.

He was a life member of the Montgomery County Fair. He retired from Safeway after

42 years. James loved the Yankees, Notre Dame and the Redskins. He is survived by his wife, Wanda.

His son James Magruder Jr. His Daughter Judy Magruder. His grandchildren Cassie, Cody, Tyler,

Allyanna and Logan. His sisters and brother in-laws Bill and Sandy Spencer, Paul and Susie Bowman and J.R and Alice Jarvis. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the American Heart Association.

A Visitation will be held at Molesworth Funeral Home

On February 12th  from 2-4 P.M and 6-8 P.M

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday February 13th 2025 at 11:00 A.M at the Funeral Home.

Interment is at Parklawn Cemetery 1:P.M.
