On Sunday, January 15, 2023 and at the age of 102 years and nine months, Grace Evalyn Lawson (nee Cox) of Brightview-White Marsh, Baltimore County, MD passed from this life after a brief illness.  Born and raised in Columbia, SC, she spent her adult years in South Carolina, Washington, DC, and various addresses in Maryland, including thirty years in Frederick County.  She was a warm and loving presence in the world and will be forever fondly remembered by her family, friends and acquaintances.

Grace is predeceased by her parents, Percy and Nellie Cox, her two siblings, Lillie Mae Able and Audree White, her husband of fifty-six years, Arthur Lawson, her elder child, Charles Knowlton Gobbel, and her grandson, Chuck Gobbel.  She is survived by her younger child, Ivan Lawson, her granddaughter, Shea Lawson, her niece, Laurel Kaneft, three great grandchildren, and numerous great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at Molesworth-Williams Funeral Home, 26401 Ridge Road, Damascus, MD 20872 on Thursday, January 19, 2023 from 6pm to 8pm and on Friday, January 20, 2023, from  10 am until services begin at 11am. Interment will follow in Bethesda Methodist Cemetery, Damascus.
