Frances Ardean Watkins passed away, Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at her home in Monrovia, Maryland, one day before her 87th birthday. She was the loving wife of the late William E. Watkins whom she married on June 26, 1955.
Born July 18, 1937, in Mount Airy, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Ellsworth and Frances Louise Mullinix.
Ardean was a 1955 graduate of Frederick High School. She worked at International Harvester, Suburban Hospital, and Montgomery County Teachers Credit Union. Her greatest love was dairy farming with her husband, Billy.
She was a member of Providence United Methodist Church of Kemptown and enjoyed the choir in her earlier years.
Ardean made the best fudge, apple dumplings, and cherry pigs. She enjoyed word search and jigsaw puzzles. She Loved Elvis and Tom Jones.
She is survived by sisters Shirley Hartman and Linda Beale; sister-in-law Linda (Ed) Andrews, and many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews.
Ardean was preceded in death by Godson/nephew Michael Beale; brothers Ellis Mullinix (Vada), and Harold Mullinix (Jeannie); nephews Jerry and Larry Hartman and Bruce Mullinix; brothers-in-law Harvy Hartman and Bruce Beale; and sister-in-law Aggie Moxley (Robert).
Friends may call 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, July 24, at Molesworth-Williams Funeral Home, 26401 Ridge Road, Damascus, Maryland 20872. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday July 25 at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Salem Methodist Cemetery, 23725 Ridge Road, Cedar Grove, Maryland 20876
