Fairy J. Poole

Fairy June Poole, 89, of Monrovia, MD, passed away peacefully, at Lorien Mt. Airy, Thursday, October 13, 2022.

 Born December 4, 1932, in Daisy, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Joshua T. and Mildred B. (Duvall) Poole. June is survived by her beloved sister, Hazel (Poole) Ward, and will be missed dearly by her devoted, ‘little sister’.

After graduating from Damascus High School, June went on to work, as a secretary, at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland. For over 60 years, June was blessed to be a member of the Montgomery United Methodist Church, in Damascus.

 Having a passion for reading, she was a life-long, avid reader. Traveling was a favorite, as June was a member of the Damascus Travel Club and ventured on many journeys with friends. June’s smile and bright eyes will be missed.

Family will receive friends at the Molesworth-Williams Funeral Home, 26401 Ridge Road, Damascus, MD 20872 at 10:00 am on Thursday, October 20, 2022, with the service beginning at 11:00 am. Interment will be at the Jennings Chapel UMC Cemetery, Woodbine, Md.
