Donald Ray Runkles

Donald Ray Runkles, 76, of Mount Airy, Maryland, passed away on Saturday, November 19, 2022 at Adventist HealthCare White Oak Medical Center.  Born April 16, 1946 he was the son of the late Wilbur Runkles and Ruth Norma Harshman Runkles.

Before retiring he worked with an independent trucking company as a truck driver. He is a member of Marvin Chapel United Methodist Church, Moose Lodge, in Mt. Airy, was formerly a member of Mount Airy Jaycees.  He enjoyed bowling on teams at Village Lanes and Mount Airy Lanes.

He is survived by his son Ronald Lee Runkles of Mount Airy, special friends Mary Jo Lerick and George and Maynard and Betty Gaver. He will be remembered by his church family.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at Prospect Cemetery in Mount Airy at 9:30 a.m.
