Diane Marie Carrico Aldsworth, 70, of Frederick, MD, and formerly of Forestville, MD, and Clarksburg, MD, passed away on Monday, February 24, 2025. Born on August 12, 1954, in Babbitt, Nevada, she was the beloved daughter of the late Hamilton Spencer Carrico, Jr. and Maria Gloria Carrico. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Francis Scott Carrico and Mark Stephen Carrico.

Diane was a devoted member of St. Mary's Lady of Fatima Church in Barnesville, MD, where she nurtured her strong faith and love for the Lord.

Growing up in Forestville, Maryland, Diane graduated from Suitland High School in 1972. She pursued her passion for beauty by attending Barbizon Beauty School and earning her cosmetology license. Diane then dedicated over 20 years of her career as a secretary at the Veterans Administration in Washington, DC.

Diane had a natural talent for arts and crafts. She began sewing on her grandmother’s sewing machine at a young age, creating clothes for herself and her siblings. Her love for arts and crafts blossomed into crocheting and needlepoint. Diane crafted numerous blankets and specialized pillows for loved ones. She also had a flair for baking, making extravagant cakes for friends and family. Diane’s creativity knew no bounds, and she shared her talents with a loving heart.

She is survived by her daughter, Sara Bise, and husband Ricky of Frederick, MD; sister Melissa McDermott and husband Sean of Gaithersburg, MD; brothers Dennis Carrico and wife Cathy of Ijamsville, MD, and Chris Carrico and wife Alice of North Caldwell, NJ; and three grandchildren, Grace, Jack, and Cole. Diane will also be fondly remembered by numerous nieces, nephews, and family members who provided loving support to her and her family.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, March 3, 2025, at 11:00 am at St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, 118 E. 2nd Street, Frederick, MD 21701, with Father John Williamson officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Frederick, MD.
