Deborah Barber Obituary

Debbie Barber, 68, of Mount Airy, passed away unexpectedly on March 23, 2024 at Carroll Hospital Center surrounded by her loving family. Debbie was a loving mother and proud grammy.

Debbie was born on June 19, 1956, to the late Maurice and Betty Williams. She was preceded in death by her brother, Maurice “Mo” Williams. She is survived by her son, Stephen Barber and fiancé, Amber, grandchildren Stephen and Adley, and numerous cousins.

Debbie graduated from Linganore High School in 1974. While in school she was a member of the marching band as a trumpet player. After graduation she went on to become a CNA at a nursing home for a period of time. After that she helped as a dog groomer, as she had a love for all animals. She finally found her place doing medical billing, where she also retired from in 2018.

Debbie was the most kind-hearted, generous person who was always the first to help her family and friends. She loved her animals and most of all, her grandchildren, Stephen & Adley. She enjoyed spending time with them, and they were the apple of her eye. She also enjoyed coloring and drawing. In addition, she loved watching her shows, “RuPaul’s Drag Race,” “I Love Lucy,” and most of all “The Golden Girls.”
