Christopher Matthew Day, of Lewisdale, MD. died March 17, 2026. We are brokenhearted to announce his passing. Born October 24, 1961, he was intelligent, witty, kind, and generous.

Chris is survived by his daughter Dawn Day of Falling Waters, WV; his niece Alicia Cassis; and his nephews Wilson Day, Wesley Day, and Wade Day. Chris is also survived by his brothers Greg Day of Irvine, CA and Tim Day of Mt. Airy, MD, and his sister and brother-in-law, Domini and Gary Bean, of Clarksburg, MD. Chris was preceded in death by his parents Winfred and Martha Day of Lewisdale.

Chris was an avid sports fan, loved music, and was an accomplished guitarist. He was devoted to the care of his family, to the care of animals, and to the care of those he loved. Although Chris suffered from early onset macular degeneration, he ignited a light in each of us that remains forever.

Chris will be interred in a private ceremony at Bethesda United Methodist Church in Browningsville, MD.
