Carolyn Jane Warfield, 77, of Gaithersburg, Maryland passed away Saturday, December 24, 2022 at Montgomery Hospice-Casey House in Rockville.  She was the beloved wife of 51 years to Raymond L. Warfield, Jr.
Born April 19, 1945 in Olney, Maryland she was a daughter of the late Douglas R. and Mary Fraley Ray.
Carolyn left Damascus High School to care for her mother after she lost her leg. She was a devoted farmers wife, mother and grandmother. She always did her best.
Carolyn was a member of Damascus United Methodist Church and was a descendant of 1822 church founder Benjamin Benton.
Surviving besides her husband Raymond are two children:  Melissa M. Tripp and her husband Alan and Brian D. Warfield. Grandsons:  Jacob and Daniel Tripp; sister-in-law Dorothy Warfield; nieces Rene & Michele, cousin Paula, Kathy and others; and close and devoted friends: Dinah & Larry Mullinix, Lorraine Purdum, Lee and Ruth Tripp and Judy.
Besides her parents Carolyn is preceded in death by her sister Mary Bolling and brother Douglas Ray, Jr.
Friends may call on Thursday, December 29, at Molesworth-Williams Funeral Home, 26401 Ridge Road, Damascus, Maryland 20872 from 10:00 a.m. until funeral services begin at 11:00 a.m.  Rev. Helen Ballew of Damascus United Methodist Church, will officiate.  Interment will be private.
