Carol L. Smith

Carol L. Smith, age 90, of Mount Airy Maryland passed away Monday, October 9, 2023. She was the beloved wife of the late Charles E. Smith.

She was born in Romney, W. Virginia, a daughter of the late Melvin L. and Lillian Haines Sneathen.

Carol was a strong independent, God-fearing woman.  She was one of the founding members of the Viers Mill Baptist daycare center where she worked for over 40 years.

Surviving her are four children:  Jerry Smith (Lucille), New Market; Sandra Redden of Frederick; Patrick Smith (Rhonda) of Loveland CO.; and Gregory Smith of Point of Rocks; 14 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.

Besides her husband she is preceded in death by two sons Ronald E. Smith and Charles D. Smith.

Friends may call 2-4 & 6-8 Thursday, October 12 at Molesworth-Williams Funeral Home, 26401 Ridge Road, Damascus, Md. 20872. 

Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday October 13 at Viers Mill Baptist Church, 12221 Viers Mill Road, Silver Spring, Maryland 20906. Interment will follow in Parklawn Memorial Park, Rockville, Maryland
