Barbara Jean Kaufman, age 86 of Clarksburg, MD passed away quietly and peacefully on Friday, January 6, 2023.  Barbara was born on May 12, 1936, in Washington D.C.  She was predeceased by her parents, James and Margaret Brown, and her daughter, Cynthia Getsinger.  She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, James David “Dave” Kaufman and her children Michael (Linda) Kaufman of Martinsburg, WV, Patricia (George) Reggio of Keedysville, Christopher (Lauri) Kaufman of Westminster, and son-in-law, Richard Getsinger of Mt. Airy.  Barbara and Dave were blessed with seventeen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.  The family would like to graciously acknowledge their appreciation of the wonderful care bestowed upon Barbara by Holy Cross Hospice during the last few weeks of her life. 

Friends may call at St. Paul’s Catholic Church, 9240 Damascus Road, Damascus, Maryland 20872, on Wednesday, January 18 from 10:00 a.m. until a Mass of Christian Burial is celebrated at 11:00, by Monsignor Edward Filardi.  Interment will follow at All Souls Cemetery, Germantown, Md.   Memorial donations may be made to St. Paul’s Catholic Church, Damascus Maryland.
