Richard Allen Bowie, 74, of Gaithersburg Maryland, affectionately known by all as Dickie, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 2, 2019.
Richard “Dickie” was born on April 26, 1945 in Montgomery County, Maryland. He attended Carver High School. Dickie worked for Montgomery County Schools for a while and later became a laborer performing multiple duties.
During his spare time, Dickie enjoyed playing music, singing, drawing, and creating crafts for his family. He is preceded in death by his mother, Clara Hammond and father Benjamin Bowie.
He leaves to cherish his memories his wife of 41 years, Shirley Bowie and a host of other relatives and friends.
The family would like to thank the staff of Montgomery Hospice for the amazing care they provided for him.
Funeral services and inurnment will be private.
