Liza L. Poole

Liza Louise Poole, age 76 of Spring Run, PA, formerly of Derwood, MD, passed away Wednesday, June 12, 2019 at York PA Hospital, with her family by her side.  She was born on January 28, 1943 to her parents Joseph and Ruth McCauley that predeceased her.  She was also the devoted wife of her late husband Martin E. Poole Jr for 55 years and a homemaker and devoted Mother to her two children, Martin and Mary.  Liza enjoyed teaching Sunday school at Redland Baptist Church, enjoyed cooking large meals for her family and special occasions and always looked forward to visiting and spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her son Martin E. Poole III, wife Connie and their daughter Ashley of Frederick, MD; daughter Mary Gartrell and her daughters Christina, Kelly and Katie of Hampstead, MD; sister Mary Miller of Cumberland, MD; sister Ann Bramhall of Lovettsville, VA .and brother-in law Michael “Mike” Poole of Myersville, MD.

She was preceded in death by her sister Helen Jericho and brother John McCauley.

The family will receive family and friends from 10 AM to 11 AM, at Molesworth-Williams Funeral Home located at 26401 Ridge Rd Damascus, MD 20872, on Wednesday, June 19, 2019.  Interment will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Rockville, MD.
