Edward L. Pyles

Mr. Edward Lee Pyles, age 75, of Clarksburg, Md., entered into the presence of Jesus Christ on Monday, May 14, 2018.

Born March 24, 1943, in Westover, WV. He was the son of the late Lee Roy Pyles and Anna Mae (Johnson) Pyles.

He was the loving husband of Twylia Yvonne (Darby) Pyles for 55 years.

Mr. Pyles was a member of Greenridge Baptist Church where he served the Lord for 42 years. He served in various capacities, such as Deacon and Chairman of the Deacons. He always was a willing servant with a loving heart. He enjoyed spending time with his family, swing dancing with his wife, hunting, camping, driving and doing odd jobs.

Mr. Pyles retired from the Gaithersburg-Washington Grove Volunteer Fire Department in 1988 with the rank of Lieutenant after 27 years of service. During his time at the Department he also served as Acting Captain for several months and then after retirement served as volunteer Deputy Chief.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, two sons, Christopher Edward Pyles and wife Rachel of Frederick, MD, Thomas Michael Pyles and wife Pamela of Damascus, MD; five grandchildren: Andrew Lee Pyles of Norristown, PA, Christopher Matthew Pyles of Frederick, MD, Annie Maria Pyles of Damascus, MD, Nicholas Paul Pyles of Frederick, MD and Charles Thomas Pyles of Damascus, MD; three sisters and one brother, Verna Frisco of Morgantown, WV, John Pyles and wife Bonnie of Morgantown, WV, Alice Boyer of Chester, VA and Roberta Choss of Farmville, VA.

 There will be a viewing from  2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Friday May 18 at the Molesworth-Williams P.A. Funeral Home, 26401 Ridge Rd., Damascus, Md. 20872.

Funeral services will be conducted to celebrate Mr. Pyles' service to the community and others and a celebration of his life's commitment to serving Jesus Christ will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 19 at Greenridge Baptist Church, 21925 Frederick Road. Boyds, Md. There will be a viewing from 10 a.m. until service time. Pastor Tim Simpson, will officiate.

Interment will be private.
