Edmund Henry Lloyd, Jr., 83, of New Market, MD passed away unexpectedly on Monday, December 25, 2017.

Ed was born August 29, 1934 in Washington, D.C., to the late Lois Goodrich Lloyd and Edmund Henry Lloyd, Sr.

After graduating from Anacostia High School in 1952, Ed matriculated to the University of Maryland where he was a member of the track team and of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity. Following graduation from college he married Maxine Boyer. He proudly served in the United States Air Force, as well. He was a small business owner until he retired in 1999. He later joined the Masons, becoming a member of Patmos Lodge No. 70 A.F. & A.M.

Surviving are his wife, Maxine (Boyer), daughters Donna Barber (Gary) of Urbana, MD and Terri Kedzierski (Brent) of The Woodlands, TX, and grandchildren Andrew Barber (Erica), Alexandra Barber, and Anthony Kedzierski.

Friends and family may call on Friday, December 29, 2017 between 2:00 and 4:00 pm at Molesworth-Williams Funeral Home, Damascus, MD. A Funeral Liturgy will be held on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at 11:00 am at Damascus United Methodist Church, Damascus, MD. Internment and a reception celebrating Ed’s life will follow.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children or The American Cancer Society.
