She was born February 23, 1929, on the family farm in Comus, MD, the second daughter of the late Dorothy (Spring) and Carson Ward. Doris was the loving wife of George Dorsey Unglesbee for 66 years.

She is also survived by sisters Connie Scoggins, Katheryn Cooley and preceded in death by Nancy Cooley and her dear sister, Olga Horner.

After graduating from Poolesville High School in 1947, she worked for the Montgomery County Assessment Office and, later, for the Montgomery County Public School system. She served faithfully as an active member and deacon of Neelsville Presbyterian since 1953 and was truly blessed by her church family.
