Charles Gregory (Greg) Senseney of Knoxville, MD formerly of Damascus, MD departed this earth on August 10, 2017.

Greg fought a good battle against AML (leukemia) but had no immunity against infections.

A 1966 graduate of Damascus High, he graduated from Bridgewater College in 1970 with a degree in Economics. He retired from the U.S. Department of Education in April 2003 where he was a statistician with the student loan program.

He is predeceased by his parents Charles A. and Anna Mae Senseney and daughter Amy.

He is survived by wife Brenda and daughter Jennifer both of Knoxville, son Richard, brothers Leonard (Damascus), Robert and wife Gail (Monrovia) and many friends and relatives.

Greg was an active and enthusiastic duck-pin bowler at Mt. Airy Lanes since retirement.

He and wife Brenda owned many horses over their 27-year marriage and competed in distance trail events where he accumulated almost 9,000 miles in competitions. They traveled with their horses from Maine to Georgia to Ohio and made many lifetime friends.

Greg was an active member of the American Endurance Ride Conference, Eastern Competitive Trail Ride Association, New Jersey Trail Ride Association and Trail Riders of Today. He loved watching college basketball and the Washington Nationals and Baltimore Orioles baseball teams.

A special thank you to the Oncology team at UMMC-Baltimore and the Gilchrist Hospice of Howard County for their caring service.

The family requests no flowers and would prefer friends to donate blood or make a donation to a charity of your choice.

At his request, there is to be no funeral but a Celebration of Life will be held in Damascus at a date and time TBA later.
