Basil (Bill) Doudnikoff passed away December 1, 2018 at his home, in Mount Airy, Maryland. He was born in New York City on April 19, 1933 and moved to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida as a teenager. He graduated from Lauderdale HS and University of Florida with a degree in Industrial Engineering after serving in the Korean Conflict. He also received a Masters Degree in Engineering Administration from George Washington University in 1966. Bill was a lecturer in both the US and Europe for several years. In 1967, he and a partner opened Dataflow Systems and he later joined his wife at The Library Store, from which he retired.
He was preceded in death by his son, Timothy. He leaves to mourn, his wife, Betty, of 59 years, his children Greg/Huong Doudnikoff, Tanya/Jim Ratino, Catherine/Dad Jeannotte and 9 grandchildren: Michael, Alex and Matt Doudnikoff; James and his wife Ashley, Lauren and Jack Ratino; Malia and Alex Jeannotte and Nicholas Doudnikoff of whom he was so proud. No one left his home without getting the latest update on all of his grandchildren.
Family and friends can gather at Molesworth-Williams Funeral Home, 26401 Ridge Road, Damascus, MD on Friday December 7, from 7 to 9 pm. Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 8 at the funeral home. Internment will immediately follow in Gate of Heaven, Silver Spring, MD.
