Agnes E. Dorsey

Agnes Estelle Dorsey, (Tootie) 80, of Mount Airy, Maryland was called home to be with our Lord and Savior from this life on April 24, 2019, while being surrounded by her loved ones.

She was born to the late Herman King Sr., and the late Mary Virginia Carter King on September 26, 1938, in Damascus, Maryland.

She was preceded in death by her husband Franklin Eugene Dorsey, Sr., and siblings; Gloria Dove, Herman King, Sr., Albert King and Michael King.

Agnes leaves behind seven children; Cynthia (Charles) Dorsey-Johnson, Frank Dorsey, Jr., Curtis (Mary) Dorsey, Herman (Tracy) Dorsey, Robin (Donnell) Dorsey-Cosley, Rochelle (Parnelle) Jackson, and Evan (Kimberly) Dorsey.  She has 26 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren as well as numerous devoted nieces and nephews.  She also, has a very special bond with whom she raised Betty (Milton) Seals-Bowens and Mike Seals.  

She is also survived by her siblings:  Louise Spencer, Betty Jean Spencer, Charles (Lois) King, Anna Mae Gray, Darlene King, Woodrow (Bonnie) King, and Alma (Lonnie) Diggs.

She loved going to Bingo with her sisters, nieces and her special nephew William Allen.  She enjoyed playing cards at family reunions with her siblings.  Agnes had a great memory for family member’s birthdays and she loved playing lottery and football pools.

The family will receive friends on Thursday May 2, at Molesworth-Williams, PA Funeral Home at 26401 Ridge Road, Damascus, MD 20872, from 6-8 p.m. 

The home going celebration will be held on Friday, May 3, at 11:00 a.m. at Damascus United Methodist Church.  Interment will be at Friendship UMC.
