Roger E. Jenkins

Roger Jenkins, 89, of Gaithersburg, MD, passed away Saturday, March 23, 2024, at home. Roger was born in Culpepper County, Virginia. He was preceded in death by four brothers, five sisters and his mother and father.

Roger worked with his father in his early years, crafting his skills and became a wonderful carpenter. At the age of 22 he found his life partner Virginia and they spent the next 68 years together.

Roger was a outstanding carpenter and had many high end clients in the Washington DC area. He was well liked by everyone he met.

He enjoyed listening to country music and watching western movies. He really enjoyed feeding his squirrels. “One nut at a time he would say.”

The family will receive friends on Monday, April 15, 2024, from 6:00-8:00 PM at Molesworth-Williams Funeral Home, 26401 Ridge Road in Damascus. Funeral services will be held  11 AM Tuesday, April  16, at Germantown Baptist Church, at 17640 Riffle Ford Rd, Germantown, MD 20874. Interment will follow in the church cemetery

There will be a light lunch and refreshments at the church following the services.
