After the war he returned to Washington DC and the US National Geodetic Survey. There, Warren met and married Doris Joanne Kerst (deceased). After retirement in 1976 he expanded his part time hobby of amateur radio to a full time passion of collecting and restoring antique radios, phonographs and clocks.
