Mr. Richard David “Dave” Eastep, 74, of Frederick, MD. formerly of Ijamsville, MD. passed away on Friday June 9, 2017. Dave was born on September 4, 1942 in Springfield, Ohio to the late Richard and Martha Eastep.

He relocated to Maryland, after graduating from Ohio State University, where he started his career with the Federal Government. He worked for the National Security Agency as a Software Engineer. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He enjoyed sailing, wood working and gardening. He was an avid Ohio State football fan. He found great joy in spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Ann Stevens of Pace, FL., daughter and son-in-law, Valerie Stevens and Tony Sarro of Ijamsville, MD., grandchildren Jake and Maddie Sarro of Ijamsville, MD. and brothers Lyle and Carl Eastep and their families of Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Martha Eastep.

The family will receive family and friends at 10AM on Thursday, June 15 at Molesworth-Williams Funeral Home, 26401 Ridge Road, Damascus, MD. The funeral service will be held immediately following at 11AM. Interment will be at Lakemont Memorial Gardens, Davidsonville, MD.
