Reva Mae Gue Pearce, 94, a resident of Crownsville, Maryland, and formerly of Damascus, passed away on Thursday, June 9, 2016. Mrs. Pearce was the beloved wife of the late Roscoe Levi Pearce, and mother of Gregory Allen Pearce of Clarksville, Maryland, and Gail Minette Pearce of Chicago, Illinois.

Mrs. Pearce was born in Damascus on June 28, 1921 and grew up there. She attended Damascus High School, went on to graduate from the Washington School for Secretaries, and subsequently worked as a secretary in Washington and New York City before returning to Damascus and marrying her childhood sweetheart Roscoe Pearce in 1946. They settled in Damascus, and while raising their children, Mrs. Pearce worked for the US Post Office and Montgomery County Schools; in the early 90s, she and her husband both took positions for Colonel E. Brooke Lee’s real estate development business. Mrs. Pearce worked for Colonel Lee until her retirement in 1979. In the early 90s, she and her husband moved full-time to their summer home on Plum Creek (Severn River) in Crownsville, Maryland. Following Mr. Pearce’s death in 2012, Mrs. Pearce continued to live there independently. Books, travel, food and people were Mrs. Pearce’s passions; she kept up an active social life with friends and family until her passing.

Family will receive friends at Molesworth-Williams, P.A., Funeral Home 26401 Ridge Road, Damascus, MD 20872 from 10:00-11:00 am, on Tuesday June 14, 2016 with a funeral service starting at 11: a.m. Burial will follow at Damascus Methodist Cemetery.
