Nancy Elizabeth (Struble) Rupp, 72, of Hanover, Pennsylvania, formerly of Gaithersburg, Maryland, died Monday, May 23, 2016, after a brief illness.  She was the beloved wife of Richard C. Rupp, her husband of 50 years.

Born April 13, 1944 in Greenville, New York, she was a daughter of Lloyd and Winifred Struble.

Nancy was raised in Sussex, New Jersey and graduated from Sussex High School in 1962.

She went on to attend Hagerstown Medical Secretarial School and worked for NASA, in Washington, D.C., in the Occupational Health Department until starting a family.  Nancy raised her family in Woodfield and later returned to work as a nursing assistant at Asbury United Methodist Village.  However she found her true calling as an Instructional Assistant with Montgomery County Public Schools, where she was devoted to children with special needs, and retired in 2005. Nancy’s life was lived with lots of love and laughter.

Surviving besides her husband Richard are two children, Joelyn Karlson and husband Phil of Twinsburg, Ohio, and Michael Rupp and wife Tiffany of Hagerstown; five grandchildren: Laura Karlson, Zachery Rupp, Kathryn Karlson, Jeffery Rupp and Nicholas Rupp; a brother David Struble and wife Bernice of Middletown, Delaware; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

Friends may call 3-5 & 7-9 p.m. Thursday, May 26, at Molesworth-Williams Funeral Home, 26401 Ridge Road, Damascus, Maryland 20872.  Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 27 at the funeral home.  Interment will be in Wesley Grove Methodist Cemetery, Woodfield.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations in Nancy’s memory to Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Central Pennsylvania, 2405 Park Drive, Suite 100, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania  17110
