Martin Poole, Jr. Obituary

Martin "Sonny" Poole, JR age 77 of Spring Run, PA formerly of Germantown, MD passed away Thursday March 29, 2018 at Chambersburg Hospital with his family by his side. He was the husband of Liza Poole for 55 years. Born on July 12, 1940 to the late parents of Martin Poole, SR and Mildred Poole.

Martin Worked for C&P Telephone Company/AT&T for 30 years, before retiring in 1989. He was also a Volunteer Firefighter for Gaithersburg-Washington Grove Fire Department where he severed the community for 25 years and is a lifetime member.

In addition to his wife he is survived by his son Martin Poole III, wife Connie and their daughter Ashley of Frederick, MD; daughter Mary Gartrell and her daughters Christina, Kelly and Katie of Hampstead, MD; and brother Michael "Mike" Poole of Myersville, MD.

A memorial service is planned for Wednesday April 4th, 2018, the family will receive family and friends from 10 to 11 am followed by the funeral at 11 am at Molesworth-Williams Funeral Home, 26401 Ridge Rd., Damascus, MD-20872. Interment will be in Parklawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Rockville, MD.
