Charles (Chuck) William Leffler, age 63, of Brookeville, Maryland, passed away Tuesday, November 15, 2016 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease.  He was born on August 31, 1953 in Covington, KY, the son of Jerre Ann (Powers) and Jess Willard Leffler.

 He is survived by his wife, Rhona, his son, Jess and wife Kerry Ann (Gony) Leffler, two daughters, Claire and Sarah Lynn Leffler, mother, Jerre Leffler, siblings, Richard Leffler, Peggy Williams and April Stutler, as well as his Aunt & Uncle, Art & Peggy Fowler and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.  

Chuck lived in Kentucky until his mid-20’s and relocated to Maryland for a job opportunity with Martin Marietta, where he met his wife of 32 years, Rhona (Tipton).  In subsequent years, Chuck was employed as a Manager with IBM and received many awards and recognition for his technical abilities.  He coached his children’s little league sports teams in football, basketball and baseball and had many winning seasons.  He loved University of Kentucky basketball and was an avid marathon runner.

Chuck was preceded in death by his father, Jess Leffler and sister, Vicky Leffler.

There will be a celebration of life at the Leffler’s home at 20516 Riggs Hill Way, Brookeville, MD on Saturday, November 19, 2016 from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m.
